What is white tea?

When I first heard of white tea I thought it was tea with milk and sugar… of course! So I thought I would check it out to see what all of the fuss was about. I ordered my first sample of white tea ( Jasmine Dragon Pearls) and was quite impressed by the beautiful hand-rolled tea beads that arrived a few days later. I watched as the leaves slowly uncurled as they brewed in my cup.

White tea does require a slightly longer brewing time but it was well worth the wait. White tea has gone through the most natural process and is made from leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant. White tea got its name from the almost colourless brew that it produces. White tea is very fresh with a mild tea taste. What a fantastic, fresh tasting tea. Very refreshing and so easy to take to work for any time of the day!!
